Kundalini Yoga consists of physical kriyas and meditation kriyas, kriya meaning completed action, a set of exercises. This class offers you an experience of the extraordinary depth and variety of these kriyas, and with this, an experience of your Self. That is, after all, the purpose of the practice.
The use of “kriya” is special to Kundalini Yoga. Each kriya has a particular sequence and consequence. Each works on a specific aspect of the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual being. They comprise holding a series of physical postures with conscious breath, mental focus and sometimes mantra. The result is a sometimes subtle, sometimes very obvious, sometimes profound shift in your state of being, towards more connectedness with yourself, a quieter mind, an expanded horizon and more.
Basics of the practice will be covered, so if you are new to it you will be well guided. If you are looking specifically for a beginners course, you may also consider the Monday night course starting May 23rd. Casual attendance also possible, through attending a 5 week series is recommended.
Places are restricted. Bookings are essential.
Bring your own mat and blanket for the relaxation. A cushion can be very useful too.
