A 3 day, 4 night retreat with Kundalini Yoga, Karam Kriya teachings, intensive meditation & the healing power of nature & in Yallingup, South West Australia.
Facilitated by Jai Ram Kaur
Step out of your everyday life to step more fully into your Self. Then return with this deeper sense to orientate by.
Consciously retreating is wise and healthy. It’s an element of sacred success in life. It’s natural to need to step out of the intensity of life at times in order to recharge but also just to stop, check in, reassess and recalibrate.
This retreat offers you a held and safe space to retreat. But not only. It is also an offer of guidance through universal teachings and timeless practices, to gently provoke a process of elevation in you.
It’s a compassionate and caring space that is provided, but it’s not a pamper retreat! It will be spiritual labour, as we create a kind of ashram experience together over these days. An ashram is that, a place of spiritual labour. But it is labour that will lead to liberation.
Alongside the relaxation, nurturing and letting go you will also be doing sacred work for your own liberation.
You will also be assigned a light seva job – seva meaning selfless service. In ashram life, everybody contributes to the smooth running of a well-managed, graceful and elevating space. It’s a model of community living we cultivate. These jobs are mostly centred around the preparation and cleaning up after meals but include taking care of shared facilities and the teaching space.
You can think of this retreat as a kind of pilgrimage with inner and outer elements.
First, you depart from your normal, everyday life. You prepare to leave things behind and then you leave, setting off on your journey into the unknown. You arrive at the retreat venue and get oriented.
Day 1 of the retreat proper, the process begins. You begin to come into process in yourself. What wants to happen in you, what needs to move, will begin to happen and move.
Day 2 you do the work of intensive meditation. You turn inwards to face your self, you traverse inner landscapes, have realisations, move through obstacles, go towards healing.
Day 3 a full day at a more relaxed and fluid pace. We go walking in the untamed and inspiring nature. Let the wind and the ocean serve you in your healing. New insights may arise. Resolutions can occur. Things can continue to unfold and find completion. A new beginning may emerge on this new foundation.
After one more sleep and one more sadhana practice to consolidate, you return home, more your Self than before.
Your own light of consciousness is brighter.. just in time for Christmas!

10 Sacred Secrets for Success (Yogi Bhajan)
Number 10: “Act three ways: Action, Support, Cover. Must include safe place for Retreat.
Every action has reaction equal and opposite; what comes, goes; what is born must die. But the wisdom is to create a legacy which is perpetual, everlasting, and a guidance for all. Every action force in strategy must have a cover force, and a place of retreat to take care of the casualties. With that planning one can reach his fulfilment.
O Yogi, this the sacred secret of joy and happiness in life.” YB
JAI RAM KAUR
is an experienced practitioner and teacher of Kundalini Yoga. She is an Associate teacher trainer with the Aquarian Trainer Academy and runs Kundalini Yoga teacher training in Perth. She is co founder of Karam Kriya Australia, is a Karam Kriya trainer and consultant and works with trainer teams internationally. She is also married with 3 teenagers/young adults.
Growing up in Perth feeling a sense of alienation and a deep missing of something that wasn’t being spoken of, at an early age Jai Ram began an outer and inner journey of finding out what that was. The journey took her far away and on her travels she eventually found in Kundalini Yoga, Karam Kriya and her teacher Shiv Charan Singh the treasures she didn’t know she was looking for. She found a language for the deep and unspoken one in her. She realised also that that which she wanted to serve to alleviate was not after all an outer poverty, but the spiritual poverty that she herself had suffered from. Now she loves speaking this healing language and serving others on their own quest for the true soul food for which we are all so very hungry.
WHAT IS KARAM KRIYA?
Karam Kriya Applied Numerology is the study of numbers through life and life through numbers. The underlying matrix of all creation is number. All natural processes, from the evolutionary growth from seed to fruit, to the forming, peaking and dissolving of waves in the ocean, to the cycles of precipitation follow a universal order. And that same order is found fractally in absolutely everything everywhere .. including you. Karam Kriya, in studying this universal matrix of number and identifying it in the very words we speak gives us an incredible invitation to identify where we are living out of step with nature and therefore out of step with our own nature. In realigning ourselves, in consciously walking the natural sequences, we can transform our karma to dharma ie. our repeating, limiting patterns into a way of living that leads to elevation and excellence.
KUNDALINI YOGA
AS TAUGHT BY YOGI BHAJAN
is a profoundly holistic spiritual practice that combines the ancient technology and medicine of yoga exercises, pranayama (breath), meditation, mantra and mudra (hand positions) with philosophy on the art of living to give you an anchored experience of Self.
