Join me for 6 weeks of Kundalini Yoga & Meditation.

Kundalini Yoga, the Yoga of Awareness, is a total system for unfolding your potential. Each class involves tuning in to the field of wisdom of this tradition with mantra, sometimes warm-up exercises and/or pranayama (directing of the breath), a kriya (exercise set with a targeted effect), relaxation, meditation and closing with mantra.

There are hundreds or even thousands of different kriyas and meditations, focussing on every aspect of the human experience imaginable, from the very physical to the emotional, psychological, energetic and spiritual.

Each class also includes insights into the teachings and philosophy of Kundalini Yoga, as well as over the 6 weeks all the basic techniques of the practice being introduced and well explained.

Kundalini Yoga is a multi-faceted diamond of a practice. It can be practiced very well as a way to keep your physical body in balance and good health. It can be practiced to quiet and focus a scattered mind and to bring a sense of well being and contentment. It elevates our state so that our perspective on ourselves and life naturally shifts and old limiting patterns and beliefs fall away. It is also a total spiritual practice that gives us a means to directly connect through the authentic, individual Self to the cosmic universal consciousness of which we are all a part.

Each 6 week series covers all the basics of technique and philosophy, but, as each group is different and we respond intuitively to that, each 6 week series will have its own flavour and focus.

The class is totally suitable for beginners but also those who have practiced a long time will always find something to learn and anyway, the practice is always the practice.

No need to be fit or flexible. The focus is not on perfection of physical postures or being able to do everything perfectly. Rather, you do what you can and you will get the benefits exactly as you need them.
